Clinic Spotlight – Elite Aesthetics

As part of our new monthly Clinic Spotlight series, we visit leading InMode aesthetic practices to explore their approach, ethos, and treatment philosophy. This month, marketing manager Anna Dobbie spoke to women’s health specialist and key opinion leader Dr Shirin Lakhani about her clinic, Elite Aesthetics, which is known for its considered, medically led approach to aesthetic treatments. With an emphasis on safety, individual assessment, and subtle outcomes, the clinic reflects a modern, evidence-based model of aesthetic practice.

Can you tell us the story behind Elite Aesthetics and what inspired you to open your clinic?

Elite Aesthetics was born from my desire to create a space where patients could access safe, evidence-based, ethical, and truly holistic care. I wanted to provide services that would not only help my patients look better but feel better too. As a former GP with a special interest in women’s health, I saw the same pattern again. Women were being dismissed, embarrassed, or left without solutions for intimate concerns that were deeply affecting their quality of life. I opened the clinic to bridge that gap, merging medical rigour with advanced technology to help women and men feel confident, comfortable, and in control of their bodies again.

What first attracted you to working with InMode technologies, and how has it shaped your treatment offering?

I was drawn to InMode because its platforms consistently deliver safe, effective, patient-centric results. As a clinician, I’m always looking for technologies backed by science, with precise energy delivery and strong safety profiles. InMode’s dedication to promoting effective solutions for women’s health, and commitment to education and awareness also attracted me to working with the brand.

How has the EmpowerRF platform impacted your patients, and why?

EmpowerRF has been transformational, particularly for my menopausal and postnatal patients. It combines radiofrequency, electrical muscle stimulation, and fractional technologies in one platform, allowing me to treat the pelvic floor, vulvovaginal tissues, and surrounding structures comprehensively. The impact is profound. Women who have lived for years with leakage, pain, or intimacy issues often see improvement within a few sessions. It restores not just function, but confidence, relationships, and quality of life. With the inclusion of Morpheus8 and Tone, I can also address face and body concerns, so it is the workhorse of my clinic.

“EmpowerRF has been transformational, particularly for my menopausal and postnatal patients.”

Dr Shirin Lakhani

How do you approach patient education and ensure they feel fully informed throughout their treatment journey?

Education is at the heart of my practice. I take time to explain what’s happening in the patient’s body, why symptoms occur, and how each treatment works. I use visual aids, written guides, and plenty of open conversation. My goal is to demystify intimate health and empower women to make informed decisions. There is no shame, no rushing, just clear, evidence-based guidance from start to finish.

What trends are you currently seeing in aesthetic goals?

Women are increasingly seeking natural, regenerative results rather than dramatic changes. There’s a shift towards longevity, hormonal wellness, and treatments that support the ageing process rather than erase it. I’m also seeing a steady rise in intimate health consultations, especially around menopause, as women feel more confident asking for help and expect solutions tailored to their stage of life.

You’re known for your expertise in intimate health; how have InMode solutions supported your work in this area?

InMode’s intimate health technologies have allowed me to deliver safe, targeted, non-surgical treatments for conditions like lichen sclerosus, genitourinary syndrome of the menopause (GSM), urinary incontinence, and post-childbirth changes. EmpowerRF gives me precision and versatility. It supports both functional and aesthetic improvements, which is essential because women’s intimate concerns are often multifaceted. These tools help me treat the whole picture.

What is a standout patient success story that highlights the power of energy-based treatments?

It is difficult to highlight just one success story as so many of my patients get outstanding results. I’ve treated patients who were unable to sit comfortably who can now exercise freely, patients who could not wear underwear, now able to wear jeans, and patients unable to have intercourse, who’ve gone on to have pregnancies. The power of intimate health treatments in delivering life-changing results for my patients really cannot be underestimated.

What excites you most about the future of aesthetics and women’s wellness?

The future is regenerative: treatments that work with the body, not against it. We’re moving towards technologies that improve tissue health, stimulate collagen, restore function, and enhance wellbeing in a holistic, long-term way. I’m especially excited about advances in intimate health and menopause care; women are finally being taken seriously, and the industry is responding with innovation that truly matters.

How do you balance running a busy clinic with continuing to educate, advocate, and speak within the industry?

It’s a juggle, but I’m passionate about all of it. I prioritise, delegate, and surround myself with an incredible team who share my values. My advocacy work, from speaking at conferences to contributing to policy discussions, directly informs my clinical practice. It’s all interconnected, and staying active in the wider conversation ensures my patients benefit from the latest evidence and innovation.

What advice would you give to practitioners looking to elevate their practice with technology-driven treatments?

Choose technology that is evidence-based, versatile, and genuinely improves patient outcomes, not just what’s fashionable. Invest in training, understand the science behind the device, and focus on holistic patient care. Technology is a tool; your expertise, ethics, and communication are what make it transformative.

Why upgrading to Optimas Max is a strategic move for your clinic

For practitioners already using InMode’s trusted Optimas platform, upgrading to the Optimas Max is a significant clinical and operational leap forward. With cutting-edge advancements across multiple technologies, the Optimas Max delivers faster, safer, and more effective treatments along with a more intuitive and productive user experience.

Darren Matos                    Guina Aoun                    Hannah Seward

Service Manager           National Sales Manager              Head of Clinical

We spoke with experts across InMode’s sales, clinical, and service departments to understand exactly why this upgrade represents such a significant upgrade.

Enhanced treatment power and precision with Lumecca Peak

Our flagship IPL, now improved with more power, more precision, and improved patient outcomes.

National sales manager UK Guina Aoun believes that one of the most compelling upgrades is Lumecca Peak, which is now delivering 25% more energy than the original Lumecca. “It’s much quicker, so you get to your endpoints faster, and the energy is greatly increased. This means better results in fewer sessions and improved efficacy across a wide range of skin types.”

Service director Darren Matos adds that this increase in power directly impacts clinic efficiency: “Faster treatment times mean you can perform more sessions in a day. It translates to higher throughput and greater productivity. You’re not just improving patient outcomes – you’re improving your bottom line.”

Breakthrough technologies in Morpheus8: Burst, Deep and Scale

The industry-leading radiofrequency microneedling treatment, now smarter, faster and more comfortable.

Upgrading to Optimas Max also unlocks access to the latest versions of Morpheus8, which now include Burst, Deep, and the revolutionary Scale technology, which are features that are new for the Max.

“With Morpheus8 Burst, facial treatment depth now goes to 5mm (previously capped at 4mm), and up to 7mm for body treatments when using the new Deep handpiece,” says clinical manager Hannah Seward.” The addition of Burst technology on the face, previously available only on body tips, lets clinicians target multiple depths in a single shot, cutting treatment time nearly in half.”

This not only accelerates treatment but enhances patient comfort. The Burst system allows providers to customise depths, giving unmatched control over energy delivery.

“You’re not just saving time,” adds Aoun, ”you’re also increasing treatment tolerance and overall efficacy. The patient experience is smoother, and the results are more visible, more quickly.”

Safer treatments for all skin types with Scale technology

The Scale technology in Optimas Max is a game-changer for treating diverse skin tones and sensitive skin types. It regulates energy output during needle retraction, protecting the epidermis from excess heat, which reduces the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) and delayed healing.

“This makes Morpheus8 safer than ever, even on dark, tanned, or highly sensitised skin,” says Aoun. “It’s probably one of the best safety advancements we’ve seen.”

Hannah adds that Scale is now available across both Burst and Deep handpieces, expanding its utility throughout the Morpheus8 suite.

“You’re not just saving time,” adds Aoun, ”you’re also increasing treatment tolerance and overall efficacy. The patient experience is smoother, and the results are more visible, more quickly.”

Sleek design and intelligent interface for better workflow

Beyond the clinical tools, the Optimas Max features a professional-grade screen interface and a refreshed, modern design that enhances user experience.

“It’s just a sexier machine,” says Matos with a wink. “But more importantly, the interface is more intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly, helping practitioners work smarter and more confidently.”

Expandable platform, same trusted versatility

While the Optimas Max introduces new capabilities, it retains the same modular platform approach that made the original Optimas so popular. Users can integrate:

  • Diolaze XL, Duo Light and Duo Dark Max for optimised hair removal
  • Vasculaze Max for leg vein and vascular treatments
  • Forma “red carpet facial”

This makes the upgrade smooth and cost-effective, especially for clinics already offering a wide range of treatments under the InMode umbrella.

A strategic investment in your clinic’s future

Upgrading to Optimas Max isn’t just about having the newest device; it’s about delivering superior results, safer outcomes, and increased profitability. With next-generation features like Lumecca Peak, Morpheus8 Burst and Deep, and Scale technology, practitioners gain a competitive edge in a market that increasingly values both innovation and inclusivity.

Break the taboo: Lets talk Women’s Menopause & Urinary Health Concerns!

That’s right, we’re going to dive into the wonderful world of menopause!

As we all know, menopause is a phase that every woman goes through, and for many it can be life altering. Menopause is the natural biological process marking the end of a woman’s reproductive years. In this blog, we’ll explore some of the common menopause symptoms, treatment options such as Inmodes Empower RF platform, Desirial and the importance of pelvic floor exercises.

According to the National Institute on Aging, up to 80% of women experience some menopause symptoms, which can range from mild to severe. From hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness, and urinary incontinence. Vaginal atrophy is also common during menopause, which can lead to pain during sexual intercourse.

Menopause can really put a damper on our day-to-day lives. But fear not, there are plenty of treatments out there to help us through it. Now, there’s conventional treatments and procedures which are effective. These include, pelvic floor exercises. You know those muscles that control your bladder and bowel movements? They’re super important, and as we age, they can weaken, leading to problems like urinary incontinence and vaginal laxity. But don’t worry, there are exercises you can do to keep those muscles strong and healthy.

Pelvic floor exercises for women are one of the most effective ways to help manage the symptoms of menopause. These exercises help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, which can reduce the risk of urinary incontinence, improve sexual function, and help reduce vaginal laxity.

Speaking of vaginal health, let’s touch on some common issues like vaginal atrophy and dryness. These can be caused by hormonal changes during menopause, but they can also be a result of certain medications or medical conditions. And let’s not forget about urinary incontinence. It’s not the most glamorous topic, but it’s something that affects a lot of women. The good news is, there are plenty of ways to manage it, from lifestyle changes like drinking less caffeine to medical treatments like the SIU, which is a tiny device that can help reduce leaks.

However, for women who need additional support, there are numerous treatments available. In the ever evolving world of clinical advancements, names such as Forma V, V-Tone, Morpheus 8V and Desirial have become synonymous in delivering effective outcomes to counter menopause. All powered by famous platforms such as EmpowerRF by Inmode & Vivacy Laboratories.

Let’s begin with Forma V. Forma V is a non-invasive radiofrequency treatment that can help with vaginal rejuvenation. It can improve vaginal laxity, dryness, and urinary incontinence, which are all common issues that women may experience during menopause. Forma V can also improve sexual satisfaction by tightening the vaginal canal. Combine this treatment with V Tone, the electronic muscle stimulation (EMS) device that uses electromagnetic waves to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles, helping to improve bladder control.
Similarly, Morpheus 8V is also a non invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency microneedling to stimulate collagen production and improve skin laxity. It can also be used on the vaginal area to improve laxity and dryness. This is a painless procedure unlike the traditional Morpheus 8 for the face & body.
Lastly, Desirial is an injectable treatment that is specifically designed for the vaginal area. It can be used to improve vaginal atrophy, which can cause dryness, discomfort, and pain during sexual activity. Desirial can restore moisture and elasticity to the vaginal tissues, leading to improved sexual function and overall vaginal health.

In conclusion, menopause can bring along with it a range of challenging symptoms, but there are numerous effective treatments available to help manage these symptoms. With the right care and attention to pelvic health, women can enjoy a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life during and after menopause.

So don’t suffer in silence, ladies. Talk to us about your options.
